About GPAQ Online
GPAQ Online has been developed from the postal version of the GPAQ (General Practice Assessment Questionnaire) issued from the NPCRDC (National Primary Care Research and Development Centre)
We simply add a secure link to the survey from your practice
website, or, if you do not have one, your patients can access your
survey from our dedicated patient survey website.
Analysis
Completed responses are held securely and anonymously on our servers, and automatically analyzed from the start. You can view this ongoing analysis via your management pages, protected by a secure log-in.
When the necessary number of completed responses has been collected (currently approx. 25 per 1000 patients) you simply contact us to finalise the analysis and generate a comprehensive endreport
End Report
The End Report will contain all the analysis results, along with a comparison table showing national benchmark figures provided by the NPCRDC.
The report can be printed and used in Practice meetings to discuss the results of your survey.
Why Survey your patients?
The nGMS contract requires evidence of listening to patient opinion and developing an action plan for improvement.
Valuable quality points can be earned as follows:
THE POINTS SYSTEM EXPLAINED
- 25 points for undertaking an approved patient survey
- 30 points for reflecting on results and devising an action plan which
- sets priorities for the next two years
- describes how the practice will report the findings to patients (for example, posters in the practice, a meeting with a patient practice group or a PCO approved patient representative)
- describes the plans for achieving the priorities, including indicating the lead person in the practice
- considers the case for collecting additional information on patient experience, for example through surveys of patients with specific illnesses, or consultation with a patient group.
